At the center of the zone lies the CNNP, and nearby the "Generators" a large installation with a central mast pointing skyward.
Periodically the anomalous energy of the zone builds up and rapidly and violently expands outwards. Anyone not sheltering in a solid building (A Roofed Structure or DESIGNATED HQ) is instantly killed, or worse zombified and fated to wander the zone broken rotting and starving into nothing.
For STALKER Series this is represented with hazard Sirens across the facility PA systems Followed by the actual Emission Storm.
These can last up to 5min. Stalkers caught in the open must wander as a hostile zombie and then respawn when killed. Players MUST seek solid roofed shelter or shelter in a marked designated zone.
This is a core mechanic to allow staff time to repopulate loot, change costumes and roles and to reset the anomaly fields.
Hostilities are still in effect. This is not a break. Be aware and careful of who you share shelter with. Death and Bleedouts apply.
