Spark is a ragtag faction of stalkers who follow Scar's ideal view of the Zone. They strive for the so-called Shining Zone, the opposite of the current "Dark side of the Zone". Part of Spark's stalkers assist the scientists at Malachite, led by Prof. Ozersky, in carrying out field research.

It was formed after the original Iskra Scientific Research and Investigation Team was wiped out by Ward.

While Spark uses the same name (translated into English), none of the surviving members joined the new faction.

Under Scar, Spark would fight a shadow war within the zone. Initially against Ward, the war would boil over into Scar waking up Monolith and using emitters to spread his ideals of the Shining Zone.

Spark is less a faction at the ASW/SML Event Series and more player generated NPCs. The role functions the same as Loners but is shoot on sight by Admin WARD NPCS and Vehicles.
