Freedom is an anarchist group consisting mainly of free stalkers. The faction's goal is to preserve the Zone as a free territory and oppose the monopoly of the authorities. According to Loki, the elite of Freedom is made up of former hippies[quote. 1]. Although the group declares itself to be Anarchist, their ideology leans closer to Libertarianism, because they don't aim to abolish all hierarchies or social structures, and as stated in their name, they're more about freedom from oppressive external control. In contrast to the regimented, highly disciplined atmosphere of Duty, the members of Freedom have a much more relaxed, informal attitude. They appear to have a more casual command structure, often referring to each other as "bro", with a number of members shown making regular recreational use of alcohol and marijuana. In spite of this attitude, Freedom members are able to function very effectively as an organized fighting force when necessary.

Freedom was founded by a group of free stalkers, including Chekhov, Lingov, Lukash, and Loki, aiming to research the Zone and make its fruit, artifacts and anomalies (in the words of Chekhov a ready-made outdoor lab), available to the general public. The core principle, liberty for all its members, has led its opponents to view it as a volatile mix of anarchists and rogues.

Freedom in ASW/SML Events are a player joinable faction. Their base is located on the northern side of the Western Rostok Factory  Region. While Freedom focuses on free will and choice for stalkers in the zone their base location puts them as the forefront in the defense against the Monolith Forces of the North. Freedom is the FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE against forces of the zone and is under CONSTANT attack and threat. 

This should be considered a PVEVP focused faction. While they are in direct conflict with Duty for control of the region they are under constant attack and threat from the Monolith to the north. Be prepared for attacks at all times and hours of the night, and constant threats. 

FREEDOM COSTUMING RULES

*MATCHING TOP AND BOTTOM ONLY

*NO Blue Camos or Colors for uniforms.
*NO Urban Camo at all.
*NO Multicam Variant clothes or kit.

*Flecktarn, Olive Drab or Coyote Gear Color Prefered (Any other pattern/color needs permission)
90s/2000s NATO helmets, masks and Kit are fine.
AVOID highspeed SF kits.

Your base suit should look like the clothing worn under freedom kit in the original series. While MOLLE is prevalent this is still a STALKER themed event. Even post war in STALKER 2 its a HEAVY mix and match, even WARD has a lot of old soviet era items thrown in like map pouches, leather holsters and even some soviet era red star officers belts. The coolest of cool guys had to sneak into the zone, and you would still need to blend in with the other loners. Showing up in US SOF kit would likely get you gunned down by perimeter forces or worse yet robbed and murdered your fist week in the zone.
